Artificial Intelligence Lab. Lines: 21 I'm having a peculiar problem on my Mac IIcx. All of a sudden, when I move my mouse, the cursor tends to jump around on the screen. It doesn't jump very far, but it does sometimes jump towards the top of the screen when I move the mouse so that the cursor should be moving to the *bottom* of the screen. I first suspected a virus, and I have Gatekeeper and Gatekeeper Aid loaded, so I thought I was safe (I have the latest versions of both except that I have GA 1.0.1 because I suddenly suffered several system crashes with 1.0.2). To be sure, I ran Disinfectant 2.1, which found nothing. I rebuilt the desktop, and even rebooted from a locked floppy. In all cases, I have the same problem. I'm fairly certain that it's not a virus, and that leaves a "hardware problem". Has anyone else encountered this problem before? Is my mouse on its last legs (it's only a year old!). Any help, suggestions, condolences will be appreciated. Please respond via email. Thanks! -Eric Feigenson ericf@zurich.ai.mit.edu
