Last night I installed a DA called SciCon (short for Scientific Conversions) on my MacPlus, and found it to be really amazing, because it has far more conversions, for just about everything, than I will ever need. I think that it would be in a more useful form, however, if it were a QuickDex file, so that I could have it scan for the units I wanted, instead of scrolling through. That is easy enough, since QickDex will use a Microsoft Word document, but I couldn't figure out how to use Word to get the text from the DA. I tried everything that I could think of, including:Word-Open Any File, FEdit, RESEdit, MacTools, Canopener, and changing the filetype. Butwith the ways that I could see the text (FEdit, ResEdit) I couldn't save the text file, and the other ways, (like when I opened it with Word and Canopener), it said that the file only had one character. Does anybody have any ideas on how to convert it to a text file? I would really appreciate it. It is a great DA, by the way--I am just trying to make it even more useful. Thanks a lot, John Lilly homey@portia.stanford.edu Hasta Lambada, Dudes.--Bart Simpson
