Lines: 22 MacKermit (available from Columbia University and on many archives and BBSs) works fine. The biggest negative is that it doesn't support very many terminal emulation modes (tty, vt100, and that's pretty much it.) The biggest positive is probably that it's FREE, and supports just about every kermit option I've ever needed or even heard of. I have 0.94, but there may be a more current version. The Kermit routines in Red Ryder work OK, but occasionally cause problems with certain systems I call, (and won't work at all with one of them) and don't have as much flexibility as MacKermit. (Scott Watson apparently believes that there is no such thing as a kermit site that can run in server mode ONLY.) RR also doesn't support many of the kermit packets such as FINISH and CHANGE DIRECTORY. I don't know if White Knight does, I've never seen enough good information about WK to make me want to upgrade. So I'm still running RR 10.3. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mike Nolan "To err is human, to forgive Tailored Software Services, Inc. is divine, to procrastinate is, Lincoln, Nebraska (402) 423-1490 um, can I get back to you on that?"
