HD Setup won't format Apple 20 meg. Message-ID: <90239.0032453XMQGAA@CMUVM.BITNET> Date: 27 Aug 90 04:32:45 GMT Organization: Central Michigan University Lines: 8 A friend of mine just got an HP Deskwriter and had a real bad software crash. I recovered most of the stuff from his hard disk (Apple 20 mb, SE-FDHD/2.5 megs RAM). I then attempted to reformat (to lock out the bad sectors) with Apple HD Setup, it said that the initialization could not continue and has failed. I the n load Disk First Aid. DFA said that it was not an HFS Disk but the Init Disk c ommand formatted the HD. I still think that there may be some bad sectors since erasing a disk isn't the same as initializing the disk. HD Setup won't work th ough. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
