Hello,
 I'm trying to get GCC to write dbx symbols into .o files (i.e.
 implement the -g option).

 Is there any way to do it through assembly or must I create
 a .o file which contains only a names section and merge it by "ld -r"?

 If it matters, I'm using a Personal Iris 4D/25 (Super) and 4D/20
 (Entry).
