The joystick ports on a Tandy are >not the same as joystick ports that you can get on a board. According to my Tandy 1000SX Technical reference manual, the joystick port uses 200-207h. This is the same range given in the manual for the IO card in my Gateway 2000. If Tandy used different ports, other PC compatible software wouldn't work. I never had joystick problems with the 1000.
