Unfortunately, things don't work out as they should. There are problems concerning both, the hardware and the software. The problem we are fighting at the moment is a communications problem on our local ethernet. Short connections work but as soon as there are bridges in between we have a package loss (udp) of over 90% and tcp gets no connection at all. Other problems are: - ftp only writes files no longer than ca. 1k on the local machine - nfs-mount gets rpc autentication error - spray cannot connect to a portmapper on the other side (rpcbind) - ypbind is running verion 3 protocol and seems to be incompatible with the server running version 1 and 2 Is there anybody out there who has experienced similar effects? Please post or mail more questions and answers on these subjects. kini@ira.uka.de
