Any idea how to truly rename >the partitions short of doing another install? Use DIVVY: divvy -c 1 -b 1 One of the options is to change the name of a partition. That is, there are lots of things that you can change about each partition (name, start, end, file system, new). You want to change ONLY the name. This will not mess up any file systems you currently have, but will change the label associated with that partition.
