Tell them that the details (that is, that you have upgraded to Win 3.0, but still have an earlier version of Excel -- they will probably ask for some proof or some sort -- unless your registration is on file). 3. Wait 10 days or more. :-) Current update should be Excel 2.1d. 2.1c was the first Win3 compatible version, but there was a display problem with it (if you changed the colors of your workspace to just about anything besides black on white, Excel had problems in displaying your worksheet. 2.1d is supposed to fix this, I hear). Oh yes, and I don't think that 800 number works outside of the continental US.
