I start up 2 dos shells and run vmid.exe (a 4 line C program which prints out the result of the INT 2F AX=0x1683) and I get a reasonable answer. The problem comes when I exit the DOS window. The first window exits fine. The second window puts up the infamous windows "corrupted memory" error and cancels the window. When I exit windows, DOS doesn't respond to the keyboard (but cntrl-alt-del works). Has anyone succesfully used the GET_VMID function?
