DG/UX also has an alternative malloc (malloc(3x)) that is faster than the
standard DG/UX malloc(3c). The man page says it typically requires more
memory than the standard malloc, but it can be tuned to to an amazing
degree, so that it's best at allocating chunks of a specific size.
