Tactic, the braille computer magazine, has recently announced that 
it is now available in 15-point large-print.  It was formerly only 
available in braille. 
  
     The magazine says about itself: "Tactic is a quarterly 
publication containing timely information on adapted technology for 
blind and visually impaired people.  This is a consumer-oriented 
publication without product bias.  All opinions expressed in the 
magazine are entirely those of the authors."  The magazine further 
says about itself: "in each issue of Tactic, you will find product 
reviews of hardware and software enabling blind and visually 
impaired people to access computers through braille, speech and 
enlarged print.  You will also find reviews of off-the-shelf 
products successfully used by blind consumers as well as 
announcements of the latest technologically related products (taped 
tutorials, books in accessible media, and more).  Tips and 
experiences shared in readers' letters through "Feedback" and 
elsewhere in the magazine have been known to solve problems on many 
occasions, and announcements of "soon to be released" products have 
saved consumers the misfortune of buying the "almost right" 
solution a month before its more appropriate counterpart hit the 
market. 
  
     There are a limited number of free trial copies available.  
The subscription price for the large-print version is $16.00 per 
year.  The braille costs $10.00.
