It appeared to work without problems on a Sun 3 under SunOS 4.0.3 using GCC (Sun cc doesn't like all the #asm directives, but I believe there is a program to comment them out.) It also worked under SunOS 4.1 with one change to the Makefile and commenting out one function. Let me know how it works for you.
