(File Service Processes) Large hard disk directory caching will also reduce the FSP count. The MAC VAPs are known to be memory intensive. You can either UPGRADE to 3.0, with all it's upgrading problems or install an external bridge that can then run the VAPs, or run PSERVER.EXE and run a remote print server. Adding memory to the file server *might* solve a memory problem, unless it's a memory problem of the type I described, involving low FSPs. If you suspect you are low on FSPs, go into FCONSOLE and check the summary screen, the count is near the top. You should have at least 3 FSPs for proper operation. You can limp along with 2 and even 1, but you will suffer severe performance problems if you do. Ken . -- UUCP: {nosun, sequent, tessi} kenh@techbook SNAIL: 13500 SW Pacific Hwy.
