[Lines appearing blank on the display] I have not managed to identify any particular pattern to what causes it, but it is purely a display problem. If you move to the apparently blank line and then press END (or ^E) the cursor inded moves to the appropriate part of the screen. My usual technique to work round this bug is to do a succession of insert and delete characters, and then move the offending line off the screen and back on to the screenm. This usually causes it to become visible. I have seen the line suddenly blank when I have deleted or inserted a character, but I can't reproduce the behaviour. -- Peter King, Computer Science Department JANET: pjbk@uk.ac.hw.cs Heriot-Watt University ARPA: pjbk@cs.hw.ac.uk 79 Grassmarket, Edinburgh EH1 2HJ or pjbk%cs.hw.ac.uk@ucl-cs Phone: (+44) 31 225 6465 Ext. 555 UUCP: ..!ukc!cs.hw.ac.uk!pjbk
