Keywords: Amen to that! Once you get people using computers without knowing anything at all about them you've signed up for lifetime support. I've run into several people trying to set up a no-brain system, generally "so the secretaries don't have to learn DOS" (implying that they can't) My experience is that most of them have no trouble with dos (at least at the level of a regular user), they can learn it and they become much more self-sufficient. I've been running around doing mindless fixes and upgrades for people for a long time. Once they learn a little bit about the system, my volume of help calls goes way down. Now, I mostly get calls for harder stuff. So, don't underestimate your people, they can almost always do a lot more than you think. Chris
