There is a problem with the look.pl subroutine such that it will fail
searching any file larger than 1 'block' (usually 8K).  I've hacked up
a fix that works but I'm wondering if anyone else has fixed or
improved look.pl.  If no one else is worried about it, I'll probably
get around to thoroughly testing my fix 'real soon now'...
