USA Lines: 17 I posted this once before, but never got a response. We have a neighbor who insists on rewriting valid From: lines on mail that is headed our way. That is, if the From: line contains user@domain, this site will turn it into site!domain!user. Apparently, they feel that any site they talk to with uucp could not possibly deal with an internet style address. Since we are running smail3, there is no need to modify the From: line, but my complaints have been ignored. What I am wondering is, should I try to turn these From: lines back into user@domain? I was thinking of using a perl script to intercept incoming mail from this site. Does this seem reasonable, or should I just leave it alone? Adrian Miranda uunet!clark!ade or ade@clark.edu
