There is an SPX-1000, which is sort of a stereo SPX-900. The SPX-900 is an incredibly flexible unit, and the reverbs in it are not too shabby. (Certainly an order or two of magnitude better than the SPX-90!) If you are going to buy only one effects box, this might be the one. It's handy to have in any studio, just because it does so much. However, if you're primarially looking for a good, natural reverb you might check out some other units (say, a Lexicon LXP-1). I like the SPX reverb for drums and such (where I'm often looking for a more "artifical" sound), but I prefer my DEP-5 for vocals. -cjs ( Curt_Sampson@mindlink.UUCP )
