Summary: new to unix/386 and new to comp.music Message-ID: <1990Sep13.104944.17027@brolga.cc.uq.oz.au> Date: 13 Sep 90 10:49:44 GMT Distribution: comp.music Organization: Prentice Computer Centre, The University of Queensland, Australia. Lines: 11 Hello, I'm in the dark about how to get a MIDI link going from an AT-bus which is running under Unix System V/386 with X Windows Release 3. My goal is to interactively compose , controlling a synthesiser, then to print the score at the end of each session. So an X interface would simplify things here and I'd be willing to extend any existing MIDI-driver code for an Open Look -style interface, assuming this isn't re-inventing the wheel. My budget is pretty limited as well .. ah well !! I needed the RAM !! Thanks, if you could email or reply here,ta. bye
