I have tried the patches to start.x, console.c to allow ega/vga
hardware to be used in 43 line mode.  On my Toshiba T3200SX I use
it in 50 line mode.  This works very well.
However on my PC with CGA hardware the screen is in chaos.  It
looks like one is looking at the screen ~25 lines further in the
past, ie what you type now you will see in 25 lines time.
