You might wanna start looking at Ventura or Pagemaker if you really need all this stuff (kerning,...). Word and WP5.1 are both excellent word processors, that are powerful enough to serve at DTP packages when needed, but I wouldn't use it exclusively for DTP. Aside from that, if you ignore some of those really esoteric functions, it becomes a personality thing. Some people are just more comfortable with word than wp.
