I know Breif runs OK in a PM window, but it incorrectly assumes it has 80x24 or 80x44 to display things in. If you are truely desparate, you could hack on the EMACS source a bit (or a LOT :-)) to make it conform to PM. Sorry I can't think of any other editors which cut the mustard. There must be ONE SOMEWHERE, so I guess I'll just read the news along with you and see if any good suggestions come along.
