When I try to connect it to the computer via the internal Adaptec ACB5500 controller, I can't even format it. I get partial success using an Adaptec ACD4000 (that I think isn't really SCSI, but rather SASI), but when I try to run the "seek" test program I only get a _lot_ of "check sense" errors. (And when I try to make a file system on the disk, the SCSI bus dies...). I *think* that the disk has a ST-412 interface but I'm not really sure. And no - I don't have _any_ documentation at all about these disk controllers. If anyone has some information about these that could be emailed to me I'd be very grateful. I especially could use some information about the set of eight jumpers (I have figured out how to set the SCSI ID using three of these, but I haven't got the faintest idea of what the rest of them are. When I tried to set the ones on the ACB4000 controller the same way that they are on the ACB5500, the controller refused to work. /Peter -- Peter Eriksson pen@lysator.liu.se Lysator Computer Club ...!uunet!lysator.liu.se!pen University of Linkoping, Sweden "Seize the day!"
