RFC 1041 does not describe what the world presently implements as "tn3270". I do not know of any implememtations, and current discussion on the "tn3270" mailing list seems likely to evolve in a different direction. RFC 1123 touches on current "tn3270" practice, but there is no definitive write-up. We have some PC's that support it, and would like to access a Unix box (acting as a server) using TN3270.... The only "tn3270" servers I know of are for IBM mainframes (either the mainframe or some sort of gateway box has an IP address). Mapping the block-mode EBCDIC data stream to Unix conventions is a large project. James B. VanBokkelen 26 Princess St., Wakefield, MA 01880 FTP Software Inc. voice: (617) 246-0900 fax: (617) 246-0901
