Standards-watchers should note that there is a new newsgroup for the
Standard Generalized Markup Language (ISO 8879), comp.text.sgml.
There are a couple of ANSI committees dealing with SGML-based
standards for music representation (SMML) and for hypertext (HyTime, I
think); I'm pretty sure that members of these committees are
represented in the group.
