Over the *years* NewTek has consistently maintained it's focus of the Toaster's marketing: a breakthrough video device offering high-end performance at (relatively) low-end cost. If NewTek changed this stragegy, essentially releasing a crippled product for consumers (can you say PC Junior?) they might as well close their doors and start wearing kelvar vests :-).
