I currently have an A1000 with 1.5 meg and 2 floppy drives. I am interested in such applications as Deluxe Paint III, Deluxe Video II, telecommunications and exploring the new AmigaVision. I know it's a super machine, so what I need to know is the answer to a couple of questions. First, are the current units shipping WITH AmigaVision or will I get some kind of certificate? Second, will the ROM chip for 2.0 be provided free of charge at some later date and how will the current version of the 3000 differ from those once the ROM becomes available? I understand there is now some RAM used to hold 2.0 and this is what the ROM will replace, correct? Third, how much of the new ECS does the 3000 have? I've moved recently and just got back my UseNEt feed so I missed several hundred messages in the past few months. Last, what is the current status of the sales tax question? The form only talks to certain states, does anyone know if Colorado still has to collect taxes even though they are not one of those listed? I lied, just one more, is there any reason for anyone who likes the Amiga not to buy an A3000 at this point? I keep seeing references to over-priced, etc., but compared to the original retail price of the A1000, the educational pricing available today certainly makes things a lot easier to afford. That's it unless you just want to spill your guts and give me any other info you think I might find useful. For anyone in this area, I'm dealing with Citadel Computers, Colorado Springs.
