I immediately checked memory with an avail [and there was lots of RAM left] I had the same problem opening a floppy under Workbench. Repeating the command worked. I assumed a temporary memory shortage. It's a bit annoying. In my case I know that there was very little FAST ram left, but plenty of chip. -- Peter da Silva. `-_-' .
