I have just bought a Portfolio and found it to be a nice little gadget with a tremendous potential. However, the built-in calculator was a disappointment. As a consequence I'm looking for a better calculator program that I can download to the Portfolio, preferably a scientific RPN-style calculator. The other day I actually found an interesting shareware package at SIMTEL20 (ftp 26.2.0.74, directory PD1:, file XACT.ZIP). The package includes three programs which emulates a HP-11C, HP-12C and HP-16C, respectively. The programs runs flawlessly on my desktop PC, but to my great disappointment not on the Portfolio. When I try to run the programs, they display an opening screen and then they locks up the Portfolio completely (hardware reset necessary). Now for my questions: - Has anyone got the XACT-calculators to run on the Portfolio, and how? - Does anyone know about other suitable calculator programs? Please reply to: - frandsen@diku.dk Any comments will be appreciated. If appropiate I will post a summary to this newsgroup. Thanks for reading my letter! Tommy Frandsen (frandsen@diku.dk)
