I am surprised at your comment that you find Windows 3.0 useless. On your 386, Windows 3.0 will allow you to set up multiple 8086 virtual machines, each with 640K plus up to 1024K (or more if you select it) extended memory. I run Lotus 1-2-3 ver 2.2, which uses 384K for its UNDO function. Lotus cannot access my 4 megs of extended memory, but can use the 1024K of expanded memory Windows allows it. In other words, I cannot use UNDO under MS-DOS alone, but I can under Windows. I frequently use it and Freelance Plus as seperate tasks (you can window them, but it slows the system down drastic- ally. and switch back and fourth. I also use Word for Windows and Excel, and between the clipboard, active links, and DDE, I can cut, copy, and paste like a madman, greatly reducing duplication of effort. -Chris
