Rochester, NY Lines: 14 We are experiencing problems with some of our PS/2 Model 70s which are running AIX 1.1. The machines periodically get into a PANIC situation attempting to access the disk. The machine reboots as a result of the panic. The reboot is not always successful. We have heard that the problem is caused by a hardware error in the disk controller and that the error is not detected by diagnostics. Has anyone had similair experience with the PS/2. Does anyone have more (accurate) information on the problem? -- Ken Tuttle kkt@moscom.com {rutgers,ames}!rochester!ur-valhalla!moscom!kkt Moscom,300 Main St.,E.Rochester, NY 14445 (716) 385-6440 FAX (716) 381-9553
