Message-ID: Date: 12 Sep 90 16:48:52 GMT Sender: news@travis.csd.harris.com Organization: Harris Computer Systems Division Lines: 22 I am looking at buying an AviioN workstation, but I want to attach lots of disk space to it. I am particularly fond of the idea of using the rewritable optical disk systems that several people are making these days because the 600MB optical cartridges will also make a wonderful archive quality backup system. DG claims that practically any SCSI device will work with their SCSI driver, and I have not seen any reason to doubt them, but --- just to be on the safe side --- is there anyone out there using a SCSI rewritable optical disk on an AviioN right now? If so, could you please post a reply or send me email describing which disk drive you are using? Proof by example is always better than a marketing claim :-). Thanks in advance for any info you can give me. -- ====================================================================== domain: tahorsley@csd.harris.com USMail: Tom Horsley uucp: ...!uunet!hcx1!tahorsley 511 Kingbird Circle Delray Beach, FL 33444 +==== Censorship is the only form of Obscenity ======================+ | (Wait, I forgot government tobacco subsidies...) | +====================================================================+
