Right now, I think you need something like Metamorphosis to create the outlines. Freehand can't do that yet. The as yet unnannounced Freehand 3.0 is supposed to be able to do it (it's unannounced. On the other hand, the first "how to use Freehand 3.0" book has already been scheduled, according to Publisher's Weekly.
