This |>movement remains when the document is printed. I would guess that your problem is caused by a feature in Word4 called "Position Paragraph". If you positioned the paragraph for any reason, it will always appear at the same position on the page (say at the top) and all the other paragraphs will flow around it. This is a useful feature for figures; for text it's not so wonderful. --Mark
