It turns out that my CDR-35 is *not* compatible with the Macintosh. You need a CDR-35D-01! The folks that sold me the CDR-35 did not know this but the NEC hot line was most helpful :-). The words in the install manual that the CDR-35 has to be in between the hard disk and the Macintosh are rubbish according to the NEC hot line folks. The CDROM *has* to be on the end. -- Harrison M.
