I have found it useful, but only in limited ways. I have a specific application. A business that I do consulting work for receives list of prospective clients in paper form that is separated into columns. All of this information is in capital letters. So far, all well and good, but the trick is to get the info to be useful. If I scan it in with any popular scanning software (using an hp scanner), I am unable to translate what I have scanned into a word processing program such as wordperfect or microsoft word. The trick is that not all of the fields that are received on the hard copy are necessary. The info is used to produce form letters and form envelopes. Any one out there have a good solution to make this possible and without a trillion intermediate steps to make the data usable???? -- BELL: +1 812 855 6991 UUCP: iuvax!kelly Internet: kelly@iuvax.cs.indiana.edu
