I haven't seen anyone mention this:

   InUse init:  I have a non-apple internal hard drive, plus
                two internal FDHD floppy drives in my SE.  There
                is no room for an LED indicator light, but "InUse"
                simulates the flashing LED by flashing a small block
                in the upper left corner of my screen.

Indispensible for me!!!
