I do have a few questions, however... 1) Is there a MAC equivilent to the Amiga's "Fish Disk" series? That is, a series of respected, regularly distributed PD Disks? I can think of several I-assume-exist-as-PD programs I'd like: First and foremost a straight ASCII text editor. 2) I read an issue or two ago in "MacWorld" (I think) about a plug-in card which lets you sample sound directly onto the computer's hard drive, using about 10 MG a minute, at the same sampling rate that Compact Discs use. Has anyone used this? I'm interested in acquiring this system for sound restoration purposes -- that is, something WAY beyond "E.Q.'ing" -- knocking out frequencies altogether, clicking out "pops and clicks", etc. 3) Here's an off-the-wall thought: There are PC programs which allow you to run your PC from remote locations (like, say, work). Since I have that 80386 box lying around (monitorless), is there anything I can run on the MAC to access it (I guess I could do it running "SoftPC" (or whatever it's called, and then running one of the aforementioned PC link programs :-)). I'm using a NEC3D monitor with BOTH systems, and (obviously) hate switching the connector (I'm hesitant to use a switch box, as well, fearing the health of the monitor...). Thank you in advance for your assistance! Doug
