I am currently finishing a program that interfaces with
the SID and am looking for beta testers.  This program is
intended to replace the rather spartan PD software
written by the SID Trio.  Features include:

-- Graphic display of the sound waveform, at selectable
   scales
-- Cut/Copy/Paste/Clear capabilities on digitized sounds
-- The ability to turn off and on the 3-second delay
   before recording
-- Standard-format sound files, for use with
   SoundMaster, etc.
-- Digital effects on selected areas of the waveform
      .. Increase or decrease the amplitude
      .. Reverse the sound (find backward masking in music!)
      .. Fade In/Out

Anyone with a SID who would like to beta-test this software,
please send me email at laf@mbunix.mitre.org.
Anyone who has an idea for a good name for the program,
please do the same!
