Message-ID: <1990Sep10.143721@erix.ericsson.se> Date: 10 Sep 90 12:37:21 GMT Sender: news@eua.ericsson.se Reply-To: goran@erix.ericsson.se (G|ran B}ge) Organization: Ellemtel Telecom Systems Labs, Stockholm, Sweden Lines: 32 I just got my LaCie HD back from major repair and with it came system version 6.0.5. I've been using system 6.0.2 before. Trying 6.0.5 gave me some problems with finding disk partitions (finder reporting not enough memory) and ResEdit (version 1.2) reporting memory problems with many resources. My questions: 1. Does version 6.0.5 used with a Mac SE give you anything compared to 6.0.2? 2. I do not have version 6.0.4, should I try to get that instead? 3. What about using all the new 6.0.5 system programs/utilities (finder, MF, system init/CDEV's etc) with system 6.0.2? I'm only interested in using the system software with my SE, so if the differences in 6.0.4/5 mainly supports other Mac models I won't switch. Thanks much to anyone who can shed some light on these questions. -- Goran Bage Computer Science Laboratory Ellemtel Box 1505 S-125 25 Alvsjo, Sweden tel: +46 8 727 3539 fax: +46 8 47 8276 email: goran@erix.ericsson.se ------------------------------ >> May the Snow be with you << ------------------------------
