All of the ones I have seen use dump or will not figure out which portions of a filesystem will fit on one tape, so that tar can be used. The last time I checked with SGI about bru, the hotline told me that it basically was not going to work with my version of the operating system, (v3.14). I now have one machine running v3.2, but one is still on 3.14. I'm sorry for asking what is probably a common question, but I have looked elsewhere. Thanks in advance.
