Finally, here's a question that fits the charter of comp.unix.msdos - an
item about running msdos applications under unix!  Please direct followups
to comp.unix.msdos!

Just got a new version of the Prodigy software from the Sears folks in
the mail.  I fired up DosMerge with the -aega and -adcom2 args (which
give the dos process direct control of my ega card and modem card without
routing their i/o through unix virtual devices) and installed the
software upgrade.  Then when I tried to start prodigy the screen blanked
and just sat there for a few days :-(.

Naturally, the moment you tell the Prodigy customer service people you're
not a PC, they have no answers.  So, bearing in mind that this is exactly
the same way I used to start up and access Prodigy under version 2.1 of
their software.... has anyone else gotten version 3.1 to work under
Merge under unix? Yet?
