The c.u.internals group has strong merits potentially better S/N ratio and clearer charter. c.u.wizards clearly has advantages (open forum, potentially at a high level) and disadvantages (attractive nuisance for novice questions) but it clearly has a strong appeal, a great deal of tradition behind it and an Internet basis to boot. The internals group should help by reducing the volume of c.u.w (as will the other new c.u groups) leaving c.u.w as a sort of (and I think desireable) "c.u.high-level-misc" group. I think that those objecting to the internals group are really opposing the demise of the wizards group and I don't really think they are objecting to the new internals group per se.
