Message-ID: <1990Sep5.210826.14041@athena.mit.edu> Date: 5 Sep 90 21:08:26 GMT Sender: daemon@athena.mit.edu (Mr Background) Reply-To: di@hstbme.mit.edu.UUCP (David Israel) Organization: Massachusetts Institute of Technology Lines: 12 A friend of mine recently bought a Perstor ARLL controller that he would like to use with Microport SysV/386 v3.0e. However, he found that he could not get through the install procedure (he has no trouble installing with an MFM controller), even though the hardware works fine under DOS and Microport supports RLL controllers by allowing a user-selectable number of sectors per track. Has anybody managed to install Microport System V/386 on a machine with this controller? If so, could you provide details? Failing that, does anybody know whether this controller is usable with any of the other 386 Sys V versions? Thanks. David Israel (di@hstbme.mit.edu)
