Keywords: Win 3.0 Q+E Message-ID: <598@eds1.UUCP> Date: 6 Sep 90 16:55:31 GMT Distribution: comp Organization: EDS - Senate of Pennsylvania Lines: 18 My new copy of Excel came with a card entitling me to Q+E for only $10, so I took the plunge. Q+E, for the uninitiated, is a dBase clone for Windows. It can be installed as a "read-only" version, so that files can be accessed but not changed, by telling the Setup program that you want it read-only. The problem is that I get a read-only version no matter how I answer the question at setup time. The program looks enticing but it is no good to me this way. There's nothing in the manual about this. Please, if you have Q+E working or know how to get around this, send me E-mail about your experience with it. Thanks, cdh psuvax1!eds1!cdh1 cdh1@eds1.eds.com
