If you are in the File Manager, select the file(s), then press the key. You can also delete whole directory structures this way. You can set the levels of confirmation with the Options Confirmation check boxes for: confirm on delete confirm on subtree delete confirm on replace confirm on mouse operation Sure this requires the use of the keyboard, but that's what the left hand is for (right hand if you're a left handed mouser.)
