Rosenberg) Newsgroups: comp.windows.ms Subject: Word 5.0 under Windows 3.0 problem Keywords: MS Word Windows WIN3 mode problem Message-ID: <1990Sep10.120057.15061@uncecs.edu> Date: 10 Sep 90 12:00:57 GMT Organization: UNC Chapel Hill Lines: 14 The bottom line is that Word 5.0 appears to be unable to recognize its screen driver when invoked from Windows 3.0 in 386 enhanced mode (Error message: Not a valid SCREEN.VID), but has no difficulties at all when invoked from Windows 3.0 in standard mode (runs like a dream). Why is that, and -- even better -- what's the fix? And we thank you for your support. -- Jay Rosenberg -- JAY ROSENBERG Dept. of Philosophy CB# 3125 UNC Chapel Hill, NC 27599 ...{decvax,akgua}!mcnc!ecsvax!unbent ...tucc!tuccvm!ecsvax!unbent unbent@ecsvax.UUCP unbent@ecsvax.uncecs.edu unbent@ecsvax.BITNET
