In fact, the folks at Bell Labs got their BLIT code running on the Bitgraph, even though they grumbled a lot because the "bits went the wong way". Bitgraphs were fun. BBN developed a little window system for them, (though I don't think it ever made it out of the company), and a few places went pretty nuts with them.
