However, I have a problem that I won't have an R-6000 station to load the X software from. I was told by IBM's technical guy that it loads the software via TFTP (which I can handle) but before the load it tries to locate the boot host by using some IP broadcast and waiting for a reply. He couldn't give me the details of this "little talk". Does anyone have the description of this pre-load protocol so I can emulate it also?
